Youth Ministry Faith Development

Faith Development this year included the presentation of an all-youth church service for the first Sunday in Advent--a "Hanging of the Greens" service. Our altar was decorated as many of the traditional holiday decorations were explained and displayed. The youth also learned about the needs of children and youth in Africa before participating in a consciousness raising campaign about "Hope for the Children of Africa." We also learned the religious significance of Mardi Gras and had a Mardi Gras party. We had an overnight movie retreat at the Church where we explored the Christ-like way "Forrest Gump" interacted with his neighbors, friends and family.
