Organized for mission, the United Methodist Women (UMW) is part of the Skylands District UMW whose purpose it is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive, fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.

Mt. Fern UMW contributes financially to help women and children locally and globally. Some local projects include: Methodist Homes Special Friends, Special Recognition Pins, Special Mission Cards and Secret Sisters. In addition to our pledge to mission, we support the missionary efforts of those from our congregation.

The annual activities for UMW include two breakfasts, a brunch, a mother/daughter banquet, pot luck supper, Christmas Party with dessert buffet, and the annual fund raising event is the English Tea. We invite all the women of the church to join us.
