Mt. Fern is a United Methodist
Church and is a part of the Skylands District of the Greater New Jersey
Conference. The United Methodist Church has a long history highlighted
by its commitment to its Social Principles. To assist the local church,
there are General Boards and Agencies that are organized by function.
The
United Methodist Publishing House
creates Sunday School and other educational curriculum and serves as a
resource to congregations as well as publishes books and all official UM
publications like hymnals. The
General Board
of Discipleship assists with
spiritual growth, worship, evangelism and the ministry of the laity,
while the
Board of Higher Education and
Ministry oversees campus
ministries and assists person who are seeking ordination. The
Board of Church and Society
challenges the church on issues of social justice and the
Board of Global Ministries
recruits and sends missionaries throughout the world. For every need,
there is a resource.
